Happy New Year!!!!
We had a great holiday and hope you did as well. Kate got a horse! I can't even believe Capt Billy took the plunge but most of you know how he feels about his little girl. And no, the horse is not on the front porch with the goat:-)
Fishing has been really good anytime anyone gets out. Uncle Haywood went a couple days before New Years and took the guys who own JK's Ribs out so they would have fresh yellowfin on the menu...Billy got a little piece and took it to the suchi bar (with me of course) for a much deserved New Yeas Eve date. Then Sean and the Finatic went out a couple days later and we got a few loins to send back to Tennesse with his brother. Pretty cool and very yummy.
Other than that we have been freezing just like you. No one has managed a rock trip because of the rough but hopefully the cold will push them south this year. The longliners are back out after the holidays and we haven't heard much from them. Drop netters are not doing much on croaker and the bit of a mackerel bite has been off Morehead. There have been some giant bites down there as well. So thats the report:-)
Our calendar is open on line at
www.oregon-inlet.com and I did just have a cancellation for a Saturday in May (15th) and thats the only one we have so call us or email to book your day out in the blue!! Tight Lines!
